I purchased this tiller to get away from fighting the starter rope and the gas fumes. Unfortunately my experience is as follows; unpacked and set up in fifteen minutes (good); carried it to a previously tilled plot (easy); and then the fun began. It took several minutes of fiddling to get the “safety button” to depress so I could begin tilling. Once started it seemed sufficiently powerful but within a minute it stopped. It took another 2-3 minutes of fighting the “safety button” to get it started again. It started to bog down and in less than two minutes it quit again. Another 2-3 minutes fighting the “anger button” and it started but slower than the second time. To make a really irritating story short this whole process continued for about thirty minutes before I decided it simply was not worth the aggravation. The good news is Amazon is great for returning these kind of products; the only good part of my experience. Perhaps if I hadn’t received a “lemon” or if the tiller hadn’t quit every minute or so then I might have found out it had sufficient power to manage my tiny 10X10 foot garden. I’m going back to smelly gas because at least my garden will get tilled. Hope this helps others.

I was a little apprehensive in buying it I had never heard the name before. I am happy It has a lot of power and it didn’t take long to get my garden tilled I am very satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone for a small garden I’m 65 and it’s light weight enough that I can handle it with ease.

As I said in the title.It gets the job done.
IT definetly did more then I expected,for a electric tiller.
I have a small garden,and didn’t try to muscle it the first time.
I just made a couple of attempts back and forth and it did grab hold and dug in.
I was totally satisfied with the results.
Now my neighbor wants to borrow it.

After a very bad experience with a cheaper tiller we bought the Sun Joe. We got it very fast, and couldn’t wait to till between the rows of our small garden. It works wonderful. It hilled up around crops, chopped up weeds, and was so easy to use. The handles are a little long for me, but easily adjusted for it. We tilled all the rows and around the entire garden and this tiller did not even heat up. We are very satisfied.

This is a nice lightweight tiller to handle small projects. We have not used it in harder dirt only to turn under horse manure, dirt and sand together. We used it to combine the soils together in large garden boxes. It is working just fine so far for this simple gardening.
